2.8.3. Analysis of lipid contents
Crude fat content was studied by the Soxtec method [31]. The SoxtecTM2050 Auto Fat Extraction (Foss®Analytical, Hilleroed,Denmark) apparatus consisted of an extraction unit, a control unit and a drive unit. 3.3 g powder was added into the extraction unit, while solvent was added to the extraction cups in aclosed system. Then the cups were heated with an electric heating plate. The extraction consisted four steps including boiling,rinsing, solvent recovery and predrying. The results were calculated as total amount of fat (g) per 100 g powder. All measurements were performed with three replicates. FA extraction was performedas described by Yang et al. [2].
