Total RNA was isolated at various time points from transfected
CHO–CD14 cells treated with 6 lM actinomycin D (Sigma) [29],
using TRIZOL reagent (Invitrogen) according to manufacturer’s
instruction. The obtained RNA pellets were dissolved in DEPC-treated
water, and then further treated with DNAse I (4 units/sample)
at 37 C for 30 min to obtain DNA-free samples. The concentration
of RNA was determined by measuring A260.
