Faucets and Valves
Stop leaks early to reduce the amount of
maintenance required. If a faucet leaks for a long period
of time, the valve seat will erode. Replacing the soft
valve disk as soon as it wears out minimizes the need to
replace valve seats.
Valve seats do wear out eventually, especially in
environments with acidic or gritty water. Replacing them
in faucets is usually easy. Use a thread sealant to prevent
leakage between the valve seat and the body of the valve.
