The protease produced from B. cereus was found to
be most active at pH 10.5. Protease activity
increased progressively with increase in pH upto
pH 10.5 and a further increase in pH showed
decrease in protease activity (Fig. 1). At pH 7.5,
only 18% of the maximum enzyme activity was
obtained, increased to 81.7–86% at pH 8.5 and 9.5,
