Fig. 3(C) plots the effects of reaction temperature and time on
galactose formation. Over the entire reaction time range, the galactose
yield also increased with increasing reaction temperature.
The galactose yield increased with increasing reaction time as well.
Under high-temperature (140 C) and long-reaction-time (3 h)
conditions, the highest galactose concentration, 40.3 g/L, was
obtained.
