Abstract
This report looks at the care of a feline patient presented with hypovolaemic
shock. The veterinary nurse’s role of providing supportive care is greatly enhanced
by having some understanding of the physiolgical processes that occur during this
process and so a basic description of these processes is provided with methods of
monitoring and simple nursing treatment.
