4.1.1. General Ledger
A General Ledger that integrates with payables, receivables, cash and bank, inventory and manufacturing costing and fixed assets.
The general ledger can be extended with new accounts if required so and various controls will support the user with how data is handled within the general ledger. It is also possible to block accounts to prevent posting to it at all or to prevent posting to it directly via a standard journal. This is relevant for those accounts that are integrated with other modules (receivables & payables accounts, COGS accounts, inventory accounts etc.).
Microsoft dynamics NAV has a standard General Ledger in compliance with the IAS. Naviworld Thai Localization offers the option to also include Thai translation of the COA.
The GL entries is traceable and viewed the breakdowns in various ways, for the reporting or analytical purpose. One can drill down into transaction, find the related documents and related GL transactions as well as sub ledger transactions.
