The electricity tariff for High Voltage power generated and sold by individual consumers
fluctuates daily and seasonally, based on time and peak load demand, termed Time Load Tariff (TLT). The TLT provides a price incentive for producers who generate and sell their energy during the time of the day when the power demand is
at its peak. In the case of Israel, the Israeli Electrical Co. offers a three tier price categories; low, shoulder and peak, corresponding to the power demand within the day, the day of the weak and season of the year. In accordance, the current tariffs varies between 9.5 US¢/kWh, 17.2 US¢/kWh and 29.7 US¢/kWh during the winter season and between 8.4 US¢/kWh 13.2 US¢/kWh and 32.3 US¢/ kWh, in the summer season, as shown in Table 1.
