Diffusion spectra at Δ = 200 ms of (a) O/W/O-1-S and (b) O/W/O-2-1. In comparison, the dominant oil signal at δ = 1.8 ppm shows a more pronounced signal attenuation in case (b), which is a hint to a very small amount of inner oil droplets. Additionally, the water signal at δ = 4.6 ppm shows a less pronounced signal attenuation for case (b). This diffusion signature is typical for geometrical restriction in smaller volumes, i.e., droplets, which are produced at higher mechanical energy intake.
