The developed method was applied to detect the presence and
quantify the target mycotoxins (AOH, AME and TEN) in pomegranate
samples marketed in Greece. Totally, 16 samples (10 fruits
and 6 juices) from different lots collected from fruit markets located
in Northern Greece were analyzed. The analysis showed that the
levels of mycotoxins present in these samples were below the
respective LOD levels of the analytical method. It must be highlighted
that all samples collected were visibly un-mouldy.
