A police officer was hospitalised after three assailants opened fire at a car park in Bukit Tinggi around 3.30pm today, Harian Metro reported.
The policeman, a constable in his 20s, was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah hospital nearby here for emergency surgery.
Citing an unnamed source, the Malay daily wrote that it was believed the injured officer, who was
assigned to the Forensics Laboratory in Bukit Aman, had been approached by the men in a pickup truck before they fired at him.
“One of the suspect was seen wearing a white shirt, dark coloured pants and a red beret.
“Police are still investigating at the crime scene,” Harian Metro quoted the source as saying.
