Wolves and Foxes have a lot of their own’s species and the same Canidae Family. They live around the world in diverse habitats including forests, grassland, pole, mountains and deserts. There are differences of size, behavior and hunting animals.
Foxes are small animals with a bushy tail and smaller than wolves or domestic dogs. The fox weights about 13 kilograms whereas the wolf weights about 68 kilograms. Foxes have a small body. So they only hunt small animals like rabbits and mice. They don’t prey on bigger animals and also eat insect’s fruits and berries.
Wolves have a broad and heavy muzzle. Unlike foxes, they hunt larger prey like moose, caribou and the other large animals. Foxes are known to become friendly to human, but wolves could be dangerous because they have a carnivorous nature.
Another difference, how these two animals are viewed by people. Wolves have been widely feared, heated and eliminated by humans. They are leading to near extinction of some species of them. On the other hand, Foxes are able to live without elimination. Nowadays, some species of the wolf and the fox are raised by people.
