Corporate Level Strategy
United’s corporate level strategy is to compete worldwide; mainly in passenger transportation.
United is the fourth largest airline in the United States. It will become the largest airline
company when the merger is finalized. United has the competitive advantage over its
competitors on many routes. For instance, United is the largest U.S. carrier to China. United,
also, is in negotiations with many Middle Eastern governments to acquire routes. Some of the
Middle Eastern routes are the destinations to where no U.S. airline currently flies.
