Results and discussion
In the Manzanares prototype, the air velocity at the chimney inlet υC = 8.8 (m/s) and the air temperature rise through the collector ΔT = 17.5 K were reported [2]. In numerical simulations, the mean air velocity at the chimney inlet υC = 9.1 m/s and the air temperature rise through the collector ΔT = 18 K are predicted and therefore, there are good agreements between the predicted values and the experimental data.
