Measurement of the TEAC was achieved by comparing decreased absorption after using 20 μl of grape seed oil extract, reagent blank or trolox standard, respectively with the reagent composition as follows: ABTS® 610 μmol/l and peroxidase (metmyoglobin) 6.1 μmol/l as “chromogen solution”, hydrogen peroxide (in stabilized form) in a “substrate solution” at 250 μmol/l and “standard” Trolox solution contained 1.82 mmol/l. Reagent blank was measured by using DD2O, chromogen solution and substrate; standard trolox was constituted from standard, chromogen solution and substrate furthermore samples were composed of the oil extract, chromogen solution and substrate.2.
