The patient and family can be given information
and advice on, for example, stocking up the
cupboard/freezer, or moving furniture to make
things easier for the patient after discharge.
Patients will need to check whether the height of
chairs and location of toilets will cause difficulties
because of their compromised strength, which will
make getting up from low chairs or climbing stairs
more difficult.
