Aspects of computer system
1. Software is the collection of instructions, programming or “code”, which contains the processing logic that allows the computer to do work. Software is in the form of digital information that a computer “understands”, decodes and executes using its system components (Hardware). Software cannot be touched but is information that is stored in the computer’s components.
2. Hardware is the physical components or electronic parts of a computer system. The software is stored on the hardware and is decoded and executed using by the hardware system components. Hardware is physical and can be touched.
3. Interfaces are logical (programs) or physical electronic devices that “interface” or allow interaction between computer users and the computer hardware and software. Interfaces can also be between computers or allow computers to interact with other devices.
4. Peopleware is defined as the human operators that interact with the technology to control the computer systems and networks for the individual users. Peopleware allows the users to use the computer systems and not need to be aware of the complexity or administer or maintain the systems.
