Britain's top police officer Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe has backed the Mirror's campaign to end Britain's deadly mobile phone driving epidemic.
Shocking figures revealed earlier this week showed how a soaring number of motorists are flouting the law by chatting and texting on their mobiles at the wheel.
Meanwhile, conviction rates have halved in just four years.
