Besides, the results also showed that ethanol extract of both mushrooms possessed higher scavenging activity than aqueous extract. This was in agreement with the study done by Govindappa et al. (2011). However, the findings were in contrast with the findings found by Alnajar et al. (2012). The difference scavenging effect among solvent extraction was due to that free radical scavenging activity is species-dependent. Besides, most the scavenging activities were probably due to light sensitivity of the DPPH radical although with variations of extracts (Masalu et al., 2012).
