Now for the cool bits:
The moment your work starts, you enter "The Cube", which is Zara's strategic headquarters. Inside the Cube you join a small army of other designers and will be broken up into teams. All teams work in a communal area and are assigned tasks by a complex network of computers that determine what the trend is/might be. These teams then are given workspace in the forms of sewing tables, mannequins, color and fabric swatches, fabric scissors, and are computer assisted. On the sides and walls of the room are designs ready to be rolled out to the factory and pre-made rolls of standard fabrics in multiple shades of colors, all the way from denim to polyester to be cut by the designers however they want.
