The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, once established, is well-known just for the movement towards free trade area and free flow of movement along borders. Nevertheless, after it had been formed for a few specific purposes, it roles, with the implement of GATT’s or WTO’s concept, consist of developing whole economic systems including innovations, skill educations, freedom trade and investment, and some infrastructures. Besides, the result of integration and cooperation leads to social, environmental, and technological improvement which make its member countries better off. Providing historical and statistical data, as a result, it is found that the formation leads to better economic growth in term of trade and investment and larger flow of foreign direct investment. Although there are few different results in some economies, the overall average performance is convergent and positive representing the goal achievement both from the members’ participation with trust and respect and from the well structure and plan themselves. Furthermore, with an gradual increase in number of world economic integrations and cooperation, a new challenge occurs, so that APEC itself needs to reform in order to reach the sustainable growth in long-term as stated in the last forum meeting.
