Antioxidants have already been found in plant materials and supplements. Due to their
natural origin, the antioxidants obtained from plants are of greater benefit in comparison to
synthetic ones (ROHMAN et al., 2010; ZHENG and WANG, 2001). The use of natural antioxidants
from plants does not induce side effects, while synthetic antioxidants were found to
have genotoxic effect (CHEN et al., 1992; KAHL and KAPPUS, 1993). Therefore, the investigations
