our overriding objective for strategy retreats is to develop a written strategic plan that will be implemented with successful results. We produce written products of key conclusions at the end of each day and distribute copies to all the members the next morning. We usually produce a final draft strategic statement (with out action plan) after no more than three retreats over 8-12 weeks. This statement is then used to guide creation of an action plan, includ ing who does what and when, at a follow-up retreat
