Doctoral degree in materials science and engineering, chemistry, applied physics, electrical engineering or a closely related field.
Have proven record of excellence scientific research; preferred research in the area of (1) functional materials by molecular design, (2) molecular and engineering catalysis, (3) nano-electronics,-photonics, and -magnetics, (4) efficient energy conversion, storage, and utilization, (5) safety, health, environment, sustainability .
Experience in supervising graduate student research and thesis.
Interest and/or experience in mentoring students in research activities.
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty members from a variety of disciplines.
Effective communication skills.
