the particles were easily magnetically separable on both lab- and pilot scales. Chen et al. successfully fabricated a novel magnetic Fe3O4/ZnCr-LDH composite to apply for organic dyes wastewater treatment.
While extensive studies on adsorption behavior of phosphate onto different LDHs have been conducted, little information is available on the application of magnetic LDHs. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the feasibility of applying Fe3O4@LDHs composites as adsorbents for phosphate removal with magnetic separation assistance. The adsorption properties of Fe3O4@LDHs for phosphate (adsorption kinetic, isotherm and thermodynamic) were evaluated using batch experimental methods with magnetic separation. Brsides, mechanisum for the removal of phosphate species onto Fe3O4@LDHs composites at different initial solution pH were also proposed in this study.
