Sometimes you read something that just hits you right between the eyes and you hope in sharing it, the ripple effect onwards and outwards may help someone else.
On a post about Thanksgiving, the ever wise Dena Clayton, shared a quote from Patch Adams that went like this:
“At the age of 18, I made up my mind to never have another bad day in my life. I dove into an endless sea of gratitude from which I’ve never emerged.”
At the time of reading it, I was thick with a stuffy head and nose and feeling less than fabulous. And that quote from Patch burrowed through layers of reasoning ,with the simplicity and truth of its message.
Patch chose to be happy, every day. He did this by acknowledging his heart so full of gratitude, that the alternative to feeling happy was absurd.
Don’t let this be lost on you folks. Let’s talk about choice and how owning your choices, puts you squarely in the driving seat of your life.
If joy and happiness are not yours when you open your eyes each day and you want it to be, then for the love of all things accountability, own your desire for change.
Sweet, beautiful possibility for change!
