I. Sharafi et al. [22] suggested an MLE method to
identify the real time of a step change in phase II monitoring
of binary profiles. Nevertheless, to the best of our knowledge,
there is no method for estimating the real time of a step change
in Poisson regression profiles in both phases I and II. (See a comprehensive
review on change point estimation methods for control
chart post signal diagnostics by Amiri and Allahyari [23]).
Therefore, in this paper we propose an MLE method to estimate
step shift in phase II monitoring of Poisson regression profiles.
The rest of this paper is organized as follows. Section 2 illustrates
the Poisson regression model and explains the steps of
estimating the model parameters. Section 3 presents the change
point model and assumptions of the problem. The performance
of the proposed model is investigated in Section 4. Conclusions
and some future research ideas are provided in the final section.
