son Stein, a student at Cabrini University who attended the conference, said she believes finding common ground and making sure student voices are heard are critical in this election. “Through workshops and different activities, I learned there are many ways to have positive conversations about politics and that we can really learn new perspectives from one another, even if we do not initially agree,” Stein said. “I also gained a new perspective on how important my voice is. I learned that college students’ thoughts and opinions really do matter. We have every right to raise questions and awareness to the issues that matter to us. This is our future too and we have every right to say what is important to us.”
