A staff writer, based in Europe, for the
International Business Weekly broke the story
during the past few days that NAC and USSL
held negotiations and public awareness of the
preliminary talks has added pressure on both
business firms to complete the deal as soon as
possible. Interest by investors, employees and the
national governments of both Japan and the
United States has created tensions for the
negotiators. The two business firms are now
preparing for the second round of negotiations.
NAC has invited USSL to send a delegation to
Tokyo to continue discussions during the second
negotiation session to finalize an international
business agreement. USSL will host a third and
final round of negotiations in New York City
