During the camera inspection of a reflective surface a defect can be associated to a pixel on the camera frame. The intensity of the incident ray reflected component in comparison with the diffuse component is an important problem with highly reflective surfaces. In fact, when a camera is set for acquiring an image in condition of diffuse light, it cannot distinguish any feature inside the image which comes from specularly reflected rays, because the vision signal saturates the camera processing unit
