Entamoeba coli has cyst appears round, often oval or irregular with a mature cyst containing 8 nucleus. They often feed on mucosa in the crypts of the large intestine and multiply by binary fission. During the life cycle of Entamoeba coli, a host ingests cysts through feces and raptures producing amoebae. The amoeba, which reproduces by binary fission, enters the large intestine’s crypts and feeds on the mucosa causing ulcers. The cysts gets expelled in feces from the intestine.
