HTI has added a VMI Interpretation Section for the WD VMI. The reason for this section is to bridge the gap between the verbiage in the WD criteria and HTI Quality inspectors. HTI inspectors are trained to use the criteria as stated literally. A literal translation of the WD criteria has lead to a chronic level of over-rejections. This is not the direction that the new WD VMI had intended. Per WD contact, "HTI's interpretation of the criteria is too tight. If you are now rejecting new conditions due to this criteria that have not been concerns at WDB in the past you are over-rejecting"
