Structure 1. This structure is used under the condition that the paper contains many small differences or similarities.
Introduction (Is a general introduction to the compared objects. NO thesis statement).
First thing/person presentation (The thing/person is presented to the reader without any comparisons)
Second thing/person presentation (This part includes the comparison of this second thing/person with the first one.).
Conclusion (Includes the thesis statement concerning the similarities or the differences of the two compared objects)
Structure 2. This structure is used under the condition that the paper contains only a few large differences or similarities.
Introduction (Is a general introduction to the compared objects. NO thesis statement).
First paragraph (The presentation of the first difference or similarity in BOTH objects or people).
Second paragraph (The presentation of the second difference or similarity of the two objects/people).
Third paragraph…. (Until the similarities or difference end)
Conclusion (Includes the thesis statement concerning the similarities or the differences of the two compared objects).
