There are two main aspects of usefulness to be considered. The first concerns the implications of the BPM, along with other elements of the neoclassical model, in terms of welfare and efficiency. The second involves an aspect that has already been discussed in the previous chapter, the ability to explain and predict, combined with sensitivity to a relation of assumptions. These are now discussed in turn.
