This multiple case study included interviews and information collection through
managers in different Asian countries who have completed extensive self-leadership
training. A global consultancy group that specializes in self-leadership development
conducted the training for the select managers. Additional interviews were conducted
with the principal trainers of the consultancy group and with a multi-national corporate
general manager who sponsored the self-leadership development program for a division
of 2,500 personnel. Additional performance and feedback data was gathered on each
manager. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed. The researcher's biases were bracketed, and the interpretation was supplemented by triangulation techniques.
