III. RESEARCH METHODS
This research used augmented reality technology to design
and build an ecological navigation system for a campus
providing some excellent interface functions for accessing
ecological information. This system makes everything more
vivid when are working on ecology for a campus environment
tour. It focused on interaction between user and system. In
addition, the Location-based Services mechanisms were
involved. This study developed a friendly user interface
integrated with interactive multimedia-rich smart mobile
devices, touch screens equipped with global positioning
systems, and an electronic compass to integrate ecological
environment navigation, by creating an interactive environment
with high affinity between user and context.
