Thermal analysis
Thermal properties were determined using both thermal
gravimetry analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry
(DSC).
Decomposition profiles of dry samples were obtained with a
TA Q5000 thermal gravimetry analyzer (TA Instruments) using a
heating rate of 20 8C/min under a nitrogen flow of 100 ml/min in
the temperature range of 25–800 8C. DSC experiments were
performed using a high sensitivity DSC1 (Mettler Toledo).
Samples of 2–4 mg were sealed in an aluminum pan and heated
at a rate of 20 8C/min under a nitrogen flow of 50 ml/min in the
temperature range of 25–400 8C.
