I have to say that I am becoming increasingly weary of both the quality of animated films lately and the seemingly tireless obsession audiences have for super hero films which, it seems I finally have to admit are not my bag. Big Hero 6 combines the two and aside from the brilliant animation and delight of combining the cities of San Francisco and Tokyo to make San Franokyo, this remains a bit of a slog to get through. Baymax is a lovely character, but the plotting is so predictable that the interest remains muted. Needless to say it's a big hit and sequels will undoubtedly follow, but I for one will sign out here.
Far superior is the accompanying short 'Feast' which is an absolute delight. With regards to this double bill, less is certainly more.
