apigenin and luteolin completely suppressed their anti-inflammatory activity (Hostetler et al., 2012). In that study only TNF-α production was addressed by the authors and our results corroborate these data, because none of the luteolin glyco-sides studied by us, including the L7OG, inhibited the TNF-α production. However, as different mechanisms are involved in inflammation, several pro-inflammatory mediators can be in-volved in this process. Therefore, other anti-inflammatory me-diators were now assessed,NO and IL-1β inhibition having been statistically significant. These results suggest the anti-inflammatory potential of these compounds.
