Based on the number of outbreaks in each species, cattle
were affected at a higher frequency than buffaloes
(v2 = 6.5, p = 0.01), i.e., 91 % vs 70 %. There was also a
large number of outbreaks affecting mixed herds (cattle
? buffaloes) (42 outbreaks), but this frequency was not
significantly different from the frequency of outbreaks affecting
only cattle or buffalo herds (Table 2).
