Humans v. Chimpanzees
Humans are the cleverest animal in the world, but chimpanzees are one of the cleverest apes. Humans live in every part of the world, but chimpanzees live only in the forests of Africa. Humans and chimpanzees are very similar. Both humans and chimpanzees live in family groups, but chimpanzee families are much bigger. Human families are quiet small, usually three or four people. chimpanzees live in family groups of between thirty-five and a hundred! Chimpanzees and humans have a lot to learn as they grow up. They have to learn about their relationships with other member of their family or group. chimpanzees also have to learn hoe to find food and how to stay safe. Their mothers look after them for ten years. Humans have much more to learn. They have to learn how to speak, read and write. Humans stay with their parents until they are much older, usually eighteen years or more!
