tribution systems.Thispaperpresentsthecontrolandmanagementofamicrogridwithdistributed
energy resourcesconnectedtoasinglebus.Themicrogridmanagementsystemusesacentralizedand
heuristic approachthatconsidersthestochasticproductionofaphotovoltaicpowersource,theuseofa
fuel cell,thestateofchargeofbatteries,thevariableloadprofile, andthe flag-color ofelectricitytariff.
The goalofthecontrolandmanagementsystemisthereliableandeconomicusingofenergyresources
and theirintegrationtopowerdistributionsystemswhilepreservingthepowerquality.Theresponses
regardingthecontrolsystemofthepowerinvertersconnectedtothedistributedenergyresourcesinthe
microgrid areevaluatedduringgridconnection,standaloneoperation,andtransitionbetweenthe
aforementioned operatingmodes.Simulationresultsprovethatthecontrolandmanagementstrategyis
suitable inalloperatingconditionsofthemicrogrid.Thewholesystemcomposedofdistributedenergy
resources,powerelectronicsystems,andtheirrespectivecontrolapproachesthatallowpowerman-
agement weredevelopedinPSCAD/EMTDCsimulationprogram.
