The traditional methods of hydrogen storage are in compressed gaseous or cryogenic liquid form. Safety concerns and weight, volume and processing inefficiencies are amongst the disadvantages of these technologies. Solid hydrogen storage is therefore generally considered to be the future solution. A multitude of different materials have been shown to store hydrogen [1] These include metal hydrides, chemical hydrides and carbon-based materials.
