A critical question with regard to organizational
learning is whether these processes can be employed
prospectively or whether they are inevitably analyzed
retrospectively with the benefit of 20/20 vision in
hindsight. One goal of this essay is to provide a frame work for universities to consider as they develop or
refine global health programming. Had we been aware
of these stages of organizational learning 10 years ago
we may have proceeded with a great deal more confidence!
At the time, however, it seemed quite lonely
