Don't get me wrong we really enjoyed our stay here but some niggles prevented a five star rating. We had a beach view bungalow which over all was very good. It was kitted out with a small double and a single bed which we had no use for. It however meant the double was up against a wall making it necessary for one of us to climb over the other at times (whoops madam!) The dreadful noise from the next resort is well documented on here so I won't dwell on it, but it makes no sense to have a (dj) banging it out until 2 am to an empty disco. Earplugs did the trick and they didn't do it every night. The beach is split into three. Section one is rocky, the middle section is for bathers and the third for speed boats landing. I know this is not Samed Villas fault but in this day and age considering hundreds of speed boats arriving and departing every day why don't they build a jetty off the rocky part of the beach. Too simple me thinks.
The only serious criticism of the resort is the restaurant and one particular member of staffs attitude to closing. The official time is ten PM but we and many others were told time and again as early as ten past nine that no more orders would be taken. We even witnessed guests being advised to dine at the next resort as it was after nine. What a way to run a business!
I have never stayed anywhere where all there is are plastic sun loungers with no cushions, ouch! and they had towels on them every day just after 7 am, come on Samed Villas do something. We enjoyed our week here but just a few changes it could have been fantastic.
