(C) The plot shows the performance levels of the kill-switch upon induction by fusaric acid. Simulated with four different fusaric acid inputs and four different growth rates. Testing solely the performance no leakiness was taken into account, a noise term of 200nM was added for the toggle-switch proteins LacI and TetR. The figure show the influx of fusaric acid is not limiting to the performance of the Kill-switch. The repeated doubling of the maximum growth rate doubles performance. Indicating that the build-up and therefore production rate of CIλ is limiting to the functioning of the Kill-switch.
