actually, i went back and checked, and its only one texture file that is giving me trouble because i disabled that layer and it rendered fine.
the texture file is 4412x1300 pixel jpeg file.
do i still need to do all the things you said or is there something i could do with that texture file. I dont want to shrink it because the mesh its being applied to is the hull of the ship and i want it to be as detailed as possible.
and how do you convert files into .map files?
