The seeds were soaked for 24 hours in distilled
water at ratio 1:10 (w/v) at room temperature (25 ± 2 °C),
soaked water was discarded, washed three times with distilled
water and both soaked and unsoaked seeds were autoclaved
for 20 min at 121 0C under 15lbs. The ratio of seed to water
was 1:5 (w/v) for unsoaked seeds and 1:4 (w/v) for soaked
seeds. The autoclaved seeds were then mashed by rejecting
the broth, dried in a hot air oven at 60 0C, finely ground into
fine powder and stored in high density polythene (HDPE)
food grade pouches of 350 gauges under refrigeration for
further analysis
