A G C -FID from Carlo Erba (H R G C Mega Series)
and a 50 m Carbowax fused silica column
20 M (HP) and a 25 m HP-5 column and hydrogene
as carrier gas were used. For the GC/M S
measurements we used a GC-MS equipm ent from
Hewlett-Packard (5890 GC and 5970 MSD), the
same colums and helium as carrier gas. The mass
spectra have been recorded by means of an electron
impact study (El, 70 eV; detection limit:1.0 ng/|il linalool in full spectra and 1.0 pg/|il in selected
ion monitoring: SIM) within the range of
40 -3 0 0 amu.
