I love that this book has citations to current, peer-reviewed articles and scientific research to support its claims. The book is passionately written by the authors.
The diet is a low-toxicity, modified-paleo type and eating in such a way is easy and tasty; I always feel full and energetic after meals. It is helpful to weigh and track your food and meals in a diary and that may seem meticulous to some people. It does require keeping track of the macronutrient ratios you take in (although, once you get the hang of it, you wont have to do that anymore; the authors recommend, but don't say you need to keep a journal). One thing that may scare some people is that the diet asks that a majority of your daily calories come from fat--including saturated animal fats. The book does a good job explaining why this is recommended and includes scientific case studies for support.
I will say that the book was written by two Ph.D. scientists and the writing reflects this fact. Some people may have a hard time understanding the writing and it is reminiscent of a text book or scientific journal.
It is a good book and a good diet: well-supported, reviewed, and recommended.
